The Wagga Classic has been run and won and I will post the winners and photo's as soon as I get them. Stay tuned
If you are on the declared Alpine Waters (and Blowering and Burrinjuck are declared Alpine Waters) and your boat is below 4.8 meters you must, by law, wear a PFD. 4.8 meters and above you don't have to wear one.
NSW Maritime are inforcing these laws stingently and the fines are high. Ignorance is no excuse!
If you are purchasing an inflatable PFD, be sure to read the manufactures specifications as to when the PFD is to be serviced (by a service agent) as the cheaper ones may have to be serviced annually, which negates the purchasing price. We sell a few brands, the main one we sell is a brand called PFD Australia which are to be serviced by a service agent every 2 years these start at $85.00, these come on Yokes and Jackets in both auto and manual and are longer than most other yokes, which makes them more comfortable to wear.
Till next time - hopefully soon with some good fishing/boating news and new pictures - get into the lifestyle of the happy and relaxed and go fishing, regards, Harro
some new people, possibly win a new boat, come and enter the Wagga Classic Fishing Comp to be held on the 4th & 5th of Feb 2012.
